Scotland is seen as a global market anchor-point for the floating wind industry, being home to two of Europe’s first three arrays – Kincardine and the 30MW Hywind Scotland – and expected to add significantly to regional market growth via its upcoming 10GW-plus ScotWind tender where much of the acreage is in water depths beyond the reach of conventional bottom-fixed offshore wind foundations.
