Offshore Wind and the transformation of Grimsby
Of the hike in employment as offshore wind capacity is accelerated, he said: “It is an incredible expansion in the next five years and we need communities to come with us, not just because these are the places we are working in and have our facilities and launch from, but also because we need the skills,we need the people and need to inspire the next generation and introduce people to science, technology, engineering and maths, show it is something interesting and gives great opportunities, something you can work on as a profession. We can offer good long term high quality interesting jobs - the assets will be out there for 25 - I believe maybe 35 more years, it is a great opportunity.

The Energy Central Power Industry Network is based on one core idea - power industry professionals helping each other and advancing the industry by sharing and learning from each other.
If you have an experience or insight to share or have learned something from a conference or seminar, your peers and colleagues on Energy Central want to hear about it. It's also easy to share a link to an article you've liked or an industry resource that you think would be helpful.
