Talk about cheerleading. India is planning to add 67 GW of solar energy in the next three years, according to a member of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet. The country had already installed 31.6 GW grid-connected solar energy by the end of October 2019, according to a response. India's national electricity plan calls for installation of 275 GW of renewable energy installation by 2027 - without requiring new coal plants.
