H21 | Local leaders visit site of H21 project
Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen attended the site along with the Leader of Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, Mary Lanigan and local MP Jacob Young.
The visitors were interested to hear about plans to use the site to gather vital evidence about the suitability of the gas network to transport hydrogen.
Permission has been granted by Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council for NGN to use the area of disused land located between Ann Street and Harcourt Road to test standard gas network procedures under hydrogen conditions.
