Deployment of hundreds of the floating platforms would be able to tap into the excellent wind resources far out in the North Sea, way beyond the depths accessible to fixed-bottom foundations

Do these deeper deployments also mitigate some of the typical offshore wind concerns (people not wanting to see them, issues with near-shore fishing routes and environmental impacts, etc.)?

Indeed they do Matt. The UK, like your BOEM, is also conducting strategic de-risking with stakeholders at the earliest of project stages.
