Floating photovoltaics support 1.1 gigawatts of power worldwide, according to the World Bank. That number respresents a very small slice of the solar industry, which now installs close to 100 gigawatts a year. But floating may gain traction, especially in areas where land is scarce, according to GTM Research. How much interest does your firm in floating solat? What do you see as its potential?

Not only that, but the ability to minimize evaporation of sitting water sources helps from a climate perspective as well

There do seem to be some potential benefits. The question is can vendors build a viable business by catering to this niche. The cost of real estate near accessiable waterways is very expensive.
