Enel has reached an agreement to sell its generation assets in Peru to Niagara Energy, a company controlled by Actis, for an enterprise value of ~$1.86bn. This transaction includes the transfer of stake in around 2.8 GW of generation assets, which encompass solar, wind, hydro, and thermoelectric energy.Â
This sale marks a significant milestone for Enel as their total divestments of renewable assets have now reached an impressive $4.8bn since the start of the year.Â
These divestments align with Enel's objective of selling ~$22bn in assets to support its goal of slashing net debt from $63bn in 2022 to $55bn by the close of 2023.
