If small, project-specific nuclear power plants can catch on, could they make significant waves in the world's path to clean energy? A Polish company has announced plans to build a small nuclear plant meant only to power the chemicals company's operation. Many industrial plants use significant energy, and it is still difficult to power an entire plant through solar and wind power. However, if more plants could build and survive off customized nuclear plants, it would have a major impact on reducing their carbon footprint.
