BEIS eyes CfD model to help scale-up UK's green hydrogen economy
One aspect of the nascent hydrogen economy upon which proponents are remarkably quiet is of ‘who pays’. The public will be invited to pick up the tab in one form or another and the government is looking for scale to drive down costs. One model which has proved successful is that of offshore wind which has done just that and here BEIS looks at replicating the CfD model which underpins it for hydrogen.
