Battery storage systems at ‘the edge of profitability,’ as German households reach 1GWh of capacity

Germany hits 1 GWh of #residential #energystorage. Analysis is that it's "on the edge of #profitability". This tells me we're "good enough" on the #technology and need to push more on the #commercial issues of adoption. #utility #rates need to more aggressively reflect the time of use and #energy services companies need to figure out how to effectively aggregate residential capacity and sell into wholesale markets. All true here in California where we should be beating Germany :)
