Discussion on home heat at the Hydrogen APPG. | Portcullis House .
With around 23 million homes in the UK using natural gas for heating and cooking, generating nearly a quarter of the entirety of UK emissions, decarbonising the homes must remain at top of the political agenda.
Consensus that we need investment in insulation, in heat pumps and in Hydrogen.
This session looked at what practical steps are needed to decarbonise homes, and whether hydrogen ready boilers could be the solution to this huge challenge. Labour’s energy plan recognises that we will create jobs, cut bills and reduce carbon footprint by supporting the full range of options.
