The last session of an eventful year and one postponed to allow parliamentarians to pay there respects to murdered MP David Amess.
Its been a pivotal year for the UK hydrogen sector with the APPG at governmental level, including local government helping industry and policy makers come together to promote action from Westminster and local government helping drive things forwards.
We heard from speakers:
· Dr Kiara Zennaro, Head of Heat and Green Gas Lead at the Association for Renewable Energy and Clean Technology
· Ian Lewis, Executive Director, Thames Estuary Growth Board
· Helena Anderson, Co-Founder, Ikigai Capital
· Juergen Maier, Vice Chair of the Northern Powerhouse Partnership

Jurgen Maier, Vice Chair of the Northern Powerhouse Partnership, called for more ambition From UK Germany 10 GW green hydrogen UK only 5GW for both and suggestions that scaling could be achieved by following the model which made Offshore Wind such a UK success story.
A lively question and answer session acknowledged the UK Hydrogen Strategy and included calls for closing of policy gaps to enable effective support for the sector and for more ambitious targets for both the creation of demand and for the integration of local content.
