Don't forget to promote milestone anniversaries, which have become a subject of media fascination in recent years, especially in smaller communities. Hosting a public event is a great way to garner coverage, and press materials detailing how the utility has changed over the years will also attract attention. Remember that milestones can include more than just the utility's founding; any notable dates in the utility's history can be touted.
